Although Sydney is a young city by world standards many of the buildings in the Rocks area have been heritage listed in order to preserve the early history of Sydney.
There are a great many pubs, cafes, and restaurants in this area. Access is easy from all directions if you can use public transport, There are a number of car parking stations but parking space for cars is often difficult and most destinations are within easy walking distance.
Ferries, buses and trains all service this area which is only a short walk from the entrance to the footway for a walk from pylon to pylon. (Sydway map 277 reference: K 13)
